Canada’s postal service has been shut down, as 55-thousand members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers walk off the job.
The strike action comes after several days of intense negotiations involving federal mediators…..but the union says the two sides remain far apart.
Canada Post says mail deliveries will be on hold, and no new mail will be accepted.
The strike comes just before the annual Black Friday sales event, and the start of the busy holiday shopping season.
