Hockey tournament raises over $500,000 for cancer treatment

A hockey tournament near Edmonton has raised more than half a million dollars for the Ben Stelter Foundation.

The first-ever “Ben’s Cup” brought together 32 U-11 and U-13 teams from across Alberta.

The tournament honors Ben Stelter, an Oilers superfan who passed away from brain cancer in 2022.

The money will support a specialized cancer treatment available only in the U.S.
