The Town of Smoky Lake and the Smoky Lake Heritage Board are excited to invite members of the community to attend the 105th Anniversary Celebration of the Smoky Lake CN Train Station. The building has been officially designated as historical both municipally and provincially, and features the CN Waiting Room, Station Master’s Office, and Baggage Room, along with artifacts for viewing. The building also includes the Gavinchuk Photo Collection and
Tourist Information Centre.
The CN Station 105th Anniversary Celebration is slated to take place on Saturday, May 25th with a formal program and refreshments at the Smoky Lake Curling Rink at 1pm, and an open house, plaque unveiling, musical entertainment and children’s activities at the CN Station at 2pm.
