A 51 year old resident of St. Paul has been charged after RCMP executed a search warrant in the rural area of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation.
The warrant was executed in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 4th and members of the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit were assisted by the Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team.
Items seized during the search warrant included various amounts of suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, prescription medications, $8,000 dollars in cash, a cash counter, scales, and Tannerite explosives.
The ongoing investigation led to Tyson Willard Hunter facing charges including three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 dollars, two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to order, and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
Hunter was remanded into custody after being brought before a justice of the peace, and he is slated to appear in court in St. Paul on May 23rd.
