The County of St. Paul council has approved a standing motion to provide $14,000 annually to STARS Air Ambulance, the same amount as last year.
The decision, made March 11, reflects the county’s long-standing partnership with STARS.
In 2024, STARS transported 44 county residents and flew nearly 4,000 missions across Western Canada. The non-profit relies on donations, fundraisers, and government funding to cover its $35 million operational costs.
Reeve Glen Ockerman thanked STARS for its service and expressed hope that council will continue supporting the air ambulance in the future.
