A public investigation is underway after a man died in police custody in St. Paul.
ASIRT—the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team—says RCMP arrested an intoxicated man on the night of March 18th.
He was placed in a cell around 9:30 p.m. but was found unresponsive the next morning. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead.
ASIRT is now reviewing how the man was cared for while in custody.
