The RCMP is warning the public about a new phone scam.
Fraudsters are using fake caller ID to pose as Canada Post and the RCMP. Victims are told they’re under investigation for shipping gun parts, then pressured to give personal info.
Police say they’ll never call to ask for details like your name or banking info, or threaten arrest. If you get a call like this—hang up and report it right away.
