Alberta’s electoral boundaries sees changes with three new districts added

During the upcoming federal election, voters could be a little confused because of changes made during the most recent federal electoral redistribution.

Elections Canada spokesperson Leanne Nyirfa says the process is done independently of Elections Canada every 10 years to reflect the population changes in the country.

In the most recent redistribution, Alberta’s electoral boundaries saw some changes with three new electoral districts added, bumping the province’s number of seats in the House of Commons to 37.
