New restrictions on photo radar are now in effect across the province.
The government is only allowing them for school zones, playgrounds, and road construction sites.
Municipalities can apply for exemptions for zones that experience a higher-than-usual level of collisions.
The move will reduce the number of sites where photo radar can be used from 22-hundred to about 650.
