If Alberta’s 2025 budget is approved, NAIT could be one step closer to building a brand-new Advanced Skills Centre.
The province is putting $20 million toward designing the 640,000-square-foot facility, which would boost training space for apprentices by over 4,000 spots each year.
The centre is still in the planning phase, with hopes to be up and running by 2029. It’s part of a bigger push to meet labour market demands and prepare more Albertans for stable, high-paying jobs in skilled trades.
