The Vegreville Blue Jays first road game of the 2024 Powerline Baseball League season was rained out this week.
The Jays were slated to take on the Royals in Armena on Thursday, May 16th but the contest wound up being postponed due to the wet conditions at Anniversary Park.
There are no games on the agenda around the PBL during the May long weekend.
Coming up for Vegreville is a home game next week.
The Blue Jays will carry a 1-0 record into their match up with the 0-2 Tofield Braves at the Riverview Ball Diamond on Tuesday, May 21st at 7pm. Vegreville beat Camrose 10 to nothing on opening day.
Tofield lost 12-0 to the Athletics in Rosalind on May 11th and then the Braves were defeated 18-5 by The Rivals at DJW Park in Heisler on May 15th.
The Braves first home game of the season won’t be until Thursday, May 23rd at 7pm when Camrose visits the Tofield Recreation Grounds.
