The Vegreville Preschool Program in conjunction with the Community Association For Lasting Success are now accepting registration for children ages 3 to 5 for the 2024-2025 school year. Working together, the two programs aim to prepare young learners for Kindergarten through fun and hands on experiences by applying a “learn through play” philosophy. President of the Vegreville Preschool Brianna Burke says their goal is to set children up for life-long learning through a positive early school experience.
Working with the Vegreville Preschool, the CALS Head Start Program is also accepting registration for the upcoming school year. Also aimed at children aged 3 to 5, the program strives to provide resources and early learning success to children with neurodiversities or other potential barriers to success in school. Children in the Head Start Program may need support in areas such as English language development, social-emotional competence or self-regulation skills, and fine or gross motor development. Executive Director for the CALS Head Start Program Jen Dixon says that programs like this can be make all the difference to children and families who need the extra support in their educational journey.
