The Vegreville Agricultural Society along with the Vegreville Iron Runners Auto Club are pleased to host the 31st Annual Father’s Day Demo Derby and Show and Shine Event this month. The day will be jam packed with not only the Derby and Car Show happening, but various other activities for all ages to enjoy. Chairman of the Father’s Day Event Committee
Derek Fox says this annual affair is popular not only within the Town of Vegreville, but with many other visitors from surrounding areas making their way to the Fair Grounds to partake in the day.
Fox adds that the Demo Derby and Show and Shine are the perfect way to spend time with the family and celebrate dad this Father’s Day.
Fox also mentions that this event would not be possible without the generous donations and sponsorship of various local businesses.
Amongst the many activities scheduled for the day are of course the Demo Derby with $10,000 in prize money, the Show and Shine featuring antique tractors, custom and classic motorcycles, and a mini-market. A model train display will also be available for viewing, as well as numerous concessions and food for purchase.
The Father’s Day Demo Derby and Show and Shine will take place on Sunday, June 16th from 10am to 5pm, rain or shine, at the Vegreville Fair Grounds. Tickets may be purchased at the door with a cost of $10 per adult, children ages 6 to 15 at $5, with children under 5 having free admission.
