The Lakeland Rodeo Association was in the Town of Viking last weekend for the annual Cloverlodge Stampede.
It featured a triple approved rodeo with competitors from the LRA, along with the Wildrose Rodeo Association, the Foothills Cowboy Association.
Unofficial major event winners at the Cloverlodge Stampede included Jace Lomheim in bareback, Garrett Zieffle in saddle bronc, Aimee Cripps in ladies barrel racing, the tandem of Couy McBride & Tade Tonneson in team roping, and Acacia Milne in ladies breakaway roping.
Bryce Kulbacki placed first in both steer wrestling and tie down roping.
Other unofficial winners in the Town of Viking last weekend included Westin Wade in junior bulls, Peter Duffy in novice horse riding, Maggie Cartwright in junior barrels, Kenlee Crow in pee wee barrels, Levi Robbins in junior steers, and Steele Duncan in junior breakaway.
Cowboys and cowgirls from the LRA will spend this weekend at events in Gooseberry Lake, Killam, and Saddle Lake.
