Stanley Cup Final Going The Distance, Panthers To Host Oilers For Game 7

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final is coming up on Monday, June 24th at 6 o’clock mountain time at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.

The Edmonton Oilers spotted the Florida Panthers a three games to none lead in the best of seven series before rattling off three consecutive victories of their own.

The Oilers 5-1 win on Friday, June 21st at Rogers Place in Edmonton has forced the series to go the distance.

Florida has never won the Stanley Cup.

Edmonton last hoisted the Cup in 1990. The Oilers are searching for their sixth Stanley Cup title.

The last Canadian NHL team to win hockey’s holy grail was the Montreal Canadiens in 1993.

The 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs are the only National Hockey League team to ever win a best of seven Stanley Cup Final series after falling behind three games to none. That year Toronto beat Detroit.
