Strathcona County RCMP attended the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision this week.
It happened just after 11pm on Thursday, June 20th.
According to police, RCMP were dispatched to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
A 31 year old male resident of Sherwood Park was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Mounties say the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Wye Road near the intersection of Range Road 221 when the collision occurred.
Alberta RCMP extend their thoughts to the family and friends of the deceased.
