Blue Jays Fall In Double-Header Action

Things just got a whole lot more interesting in the Powerline Baseball League standings. The Vegreville Blue Jays played host to The Rivals on Tuesday night and it was the visitors who had the more enjoyable evening. A late three-run bomb in the opener gave them a 6-3 win and they pummeled the host Jays 14-4 in the second game. With the wins, The Rivals have climbed into a tie with the Blue Jays with identical 6-4 records, just behind the Rosalind Athletics who improved to 7-2 with a win over Armena last night. The Jays are back in action tomorrow when they host Tofield. They’ll close out the season hosting Rosalind on July 2nd.
