There is much to see and do this summer in Alberta without having to stray very far from home.
Kevin Kisilevich with Go East of Edmonton Regional Tourism notes that one of this weekend’s great events is coming up in the Town of Vegreville. He says “Vegreville Pysanka Festival is on. We did mention already that the program is out. So if you want, you can take a look on Facebook. You can see about the program and all the activities going on. They really did a great program this year of activities there for the Pysanka Festival which runs on July 5th to 7th.”
He adds, there is also exciting Lakeland Rodeo Association action in the area this weekend. Kisilevich says “Hairy Hill rodeo is also on that weekend. That is like one of the most popular rodeos everywhere in the region. We gave away a lot of tickets through contesting this year for Hairy Hill rodeo. So that’s on for (July) 5th and 6th. So, yeah, do check out the schedule for those events. You could basically do both of those if you wanted to. They are great events that are kinda going on for that weekend.”
Kisilevich to check out their website GoEastOfEdmonton.com for more details about local events in July.
