Vegreville Agricultural Society Lends A Hand To Help Evacuees Displaced By Wildfires

As of July 24th, over 170 active wildfires are burning across Alberta. In an effort to aid those displaced due to the fires, several agricultural societies are lending their spaces to evacuees and their livestock as they seek shelter.

The Societies in Edgerton, Cold Lake, St. Paul, Two Hills, Vegreville, Vermilion, Lloydminster, and Wainwright are opening their doors to evacuees and allowing them to bring their trailers and livestock to the ag grounds for refuge during the crisis.

Over 50 agricultural societies are lending a hand to aid those displaced, with approximately 17,500 Albertans under evacuation from various communities.
