The threat of wildfires remains high across much of the province, but especially so in southern Alberta, with heat warnings in effect and little, if any, precipitation in the forecast.
Officials in Jasper say they hope to have a plan in place soon to allow thousands of evacuated visitors return to collect their camping equipment.
The provincial government plans to release schedules shortly for bus tours to the devastated town so residents can view the damage, however, a date for their return is still up in the air, as crews work to restore water, electricity, and natural gas connections.
The wildfire that swept through the town last week is still burning out of control.
