The 5th Annual Vegreville Toy Run is making its way to Town this month. The event is a parade which will make its way across Town collecting toys, cash, and cheques for the Vegreville Christmas Bureau. Organizer for the Run Patti Gallien says that this is a fun event that everyone can take part in, and she strongly encourages members of the community to come on out and watch the parade.
Gallien also mentions that she is thrilled by the support the Run has received in past years, and hopes for the same enthusiasm this year.
The Vegreville Toy Run is set to take place on Sunday, August 18th beginning at 1pm. Those looking to donate new, unwrapped toys may bring them to the parade as they will be picked up as it passes along. Cash and cheques will also be accepted, and all cheques may be made out to the Vegreville Christmas Bureau. The parade is set to begin its journey at the A&W on 60th Street, and make its way along 45th Avenue, 50th Street, 59th Avenue, 47th Street, 54A Avenue, and 43rd Street, ending near Pysanka Park.
