Saskatchewan’s Riley Braaten put together a run to remember on Friday night, claiming the fastest time through three days of racing at the Vegreville Country Fair. When the dust settled on Heat Seven, Braaten’s running time of 67.36 stood almost a full second ahead of the rest of the field. APCCA Tour points leader Allan Bengston came in second with a 68.29 while Jack Stott rounded out the top three with a time of 68.30. The aggregate leaders remain tightly bunched through three days. Jack Stott leads the field with a combined time of 208.71, one one-hundredth of a second ahead of Allan Bengston’s 208.72. Rob Nordick rounds out the top three with a 208.85 but that’s just two one-hundredths ahead of Riley Braaten’s 208.87.
