Canada Wins Paralympic Opener

Canada’ s Women’s Sitting Volleyball Team kicked off the Paralympics in style on Thursday, beating Slovenia 3-0 in their first preliminary round game. Vegreville’s Sarah Melenka contributed 8 points in the victory. Next up for the team is a meeting with Brazil on Saturday. They’ll wrap up the preliminary round on Monday, September 2^nd against Rwanda.
