Statistics Canada Survey Shows 51% Of Albertans Struggling With Day To Day Expenses

A recent survey by Statistics Canada shows that 51% of Albertans are struggling to keep up with daily expenses due to rising costs, higher than any other province. Housing costs, especially rent, have surged in Alberta, with rents up 15% in the last year. Economist Alicia Planincic says housing is where Albertans feel inflation the most. Meanwhile, wages in the province have fallen, adding more pressure on families. Experts say higher debt and unemployment, along with steep utility and insurance costs, are also contributing to Alberta’s financial challenges.
