Man From Viking Faces Multiple Charges After Attempting To Flee From RCMP

RCMP have charged a man after responding to a call about someone sleeping in a vehicle with a visible firearm. On Sept. 9, Smoky Lake RCMP found the vehicle on Victoria Trail. When officers arrived, the man tried to flee but was arrested nearby with the help of police dogs and other units. Aaron Robertson, 31, of Viking, faces multiple charges, including illegal firearm possession and fleeing from police. He remains in custody and will appear in court on Sept. 12. Smoky Lake RCMP urge anyone with information on illegal activity to contact them.
