Air Canada Pilots Reach Tentative Deal, Avoiding Potential Strike

Air Canada and its pilots’ union have reached a tentative deal, avoiding a potential strike that could have disrupted travel across the country. The four-year agreement comes after over a year of negotiations. Federal Labour Minister Steven MacKinnon thanked both sides for working together, while the union said pilots made progress on pay and work conditions. The deal still needs to be approved by both the pilots and Air Canada’s board before it’s official.
