RCMP Investigate Possible Arson Incident in Lac La Biche

Lac La Biche RCMP are investigating a possible arson after a ceremonial tipi was destroyed by fire late Monday night. The tipi, a gift from Beaver Lake Cree Nation, stood next to the RCMP detachment for six years, symbolizing a strong partnership with the local Indigenous community. Officers used fire extinguishers to control the flames before the fire department arrived. Investigators have collected evidence, but no suspects have been identified yet.
