Oilers Stay Alive Again, Stanley Cup Final Returning To Edmonton For Game 6

The Stanley Cup Final is heading back to Edmonton.

The Edmonton Oilers have extended the best of seven affair thanks to a 5-3 victory over the Panthers on Tuesday (June 18th) in Game 5 in Sunrise, Florida.

The Panthers 3 games to none lead in the series has now been cut down to 3 to 2 as Edmonton continues to battle back and stave off elimination.

The Oilers got a 4 point performance from their star Captain Connor McDavid. He had a pair of goals and two assists as well in Game 5. The 27 year old now from Richmond Hill, Ontario leads the National Hockey League playoff point race with a total of 42 points in 23 games. He has 8 goals and 34 assists.

Game 6 is coming up on Friday (June 21st) at 6pm mountain time at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

If necessary, a seventh and deciding game would be played on Monday, June 24th in Florida at Amerant Bank Arena.
