Fire Restriction In Effect For Beaver County

Effective as of July 22nd, the Beaver Emergency Services Commission has declared a Fire Restriction. The Restriction affects the towns of Tofield and Viking, as well as the Villages of Ryley, Holden, Bruce, and Kinsella. The fire restriction prohibits all open air burning, and all fire permits are now suspended with no new permits being issued at this time.

The Commission asks that all previously permitted fires be extinguished and to check recently burned brush piles to ensure they have been extinguished completely.

Campfires with screens in approved devices burning clean wood and approved burn barrels are still allowed without a permit.

Citizens may continue to burn for recreational and cooking purposes in approved heating or cooking appliances that use clean wood, charcoal, propane, or natural gas as sources of fuel.
