The drivers of the APCCA put on a show at the 118th Vermilion Ag Fair over the weekend. In the chariots, the Cody Leach outfit, driven by Heidi Leach, took home the title with a three-day total of 186.88. Darren Twerdochlib took second with a 188.27 and Samantha Bengston rounded out the top three with a 189.61. On the chuckwagon side of things,
Riley Braaten took home day money with the fast time of the night on Saturday but it wasn’t enough to overcome a penalty on night two. The overall title went to Neil Salmond who finished with a three-day total of 193.02. That was over a full second ahead of second-place finisher Adam Waldner and his 194.34. Rob Nordick completed the top three with a 194.75. The APCCA will get this coming weekend off before a stop in Vegreville for the Country Fair from August 7th to 11th.
