New Government Program Labour Force Link Aims To Help Small Businesses in Northeast Alberta

A new program called Labour Force Link has made its way to Northeast Alberta. The program is run in conjunction with the Province of Alberta and aims to help small businesses recruit, hire, and train new employees. Laureen Houle, Employer Strategist for the St. Paul and Vegreville areas, says the program acts like a one stop HR department, aiming to address a lot of the questions that may pop up in regards to maintaining employees in today’s job market.

Houle adds that the program is a valuable tool for small business owners who may be new to the process of building a workforce, or a resource for those who may be looking for ways to improve employee retention and satisfaction.

Labour Force Link now has offices in Athabasca, Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Lac La Biche, St. Paul, and Vegreville. Upcoming webinars, training opportunities, and events are posted to their website at labourforcelink.ca. For more information, please call 780-404-5783, or call your local Labour Force Link office. The program’s services are free of charge.
