Air Canada is preparing for a possible pilot strike that could impact 80% of its flights. The pilots’ union, ALPA Canada, can issue a strike notice as early as September 15. Air Canada has offered a 30% wage increase over three years, but the union wants salaries in line with U.S. pilots. If no agreement is reached, the airline will implement a “three-day wind-down” plan. Air Canada Express flights won’t be affected, but the airline warns of cancellations and limited alternatives. Customers can change or defer travel plans at no cost under a goodwill policy.Â
