Former B&B Will Convert To Group Home For Children

The MD of Bonnyville has approved converting a former bed and breakfast into a group home for children, located near Cherry Grove. The facility will accommodate up to 10 minors aged 0-17, specifically those with developmental delays and disabilities. The decision came after a presentation by the project’s organizer, a registered nurse with a background in group home care, who has been working on this project since 2020. The approval includes conditions to ensure the home operates as intended, with concerns from local residents addressed regarding property values and operational oversight. The project aims to offer a stable environment for children and includes plans for therapeutic activities.
