Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre will get his first chance to challenge the Liberal government next week. A Conservative opposition day is tentatively set for next Tuesday, and Poilievre plans to introduce a non-confidence motion. He’s asking the NDP to support the motion to trigger a fall election. Over the weekend, Poilievre warned that the next carbon tax increase on April 1st could severely damage the economy, predicting inflation and hardship for Canadians.Â
